New York bans e-cigarettes

she hasn't taken any cash from either lobby. so your dig failed.

So why is AOC not targeting cigarettes and alcohol as well?

Hmm?

Incidentally, she got rather rich quick. Where did that money come from?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - New York District 14

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - Campaign Finance Summary
I thought one of those "donations" came from the Netflix documentary on her life, infusing her with millions.

Capitalism sure is evil, isn't it.

lol.... why are you peddling fake news?

So she got nothing for the documentary on her life?

Really? And you believe that?

What do you think of this article?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Net Worth Is Higher Than You Think

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Net Worth Is Higher Than You Think

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the rising star in the Democratic party. The 29-year old self-proclaimed “Democratic Socialist” and former bartender is New York’s 14th Congressional District for 2019 and beyond.

AOC, for short, is the third most popular US politician on Twitter after Barack Obama and President Trump.

One of the biggest question marks is what is Alexandria’s net worth?

Given the average member of Congress has a median net worth of around $511,000 in 2019, Congress members are roughly five times wealthier than the median net worth of an American household of $97,300, according to the Federal Reserve.

But given Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is only 29 years old as of 2019, and the average age of a Congressman is 57, and the average age of a Senator is 62, it is logical to conclude that AOC’s net worth is much lower than the median or average Congressperson’s net worth.

So AOC is not worth millions like Bernie Sanders is?

i find it funny as hell that you went this far off topic in your own thread. tell ya what, you go ahead & research that & get back to us, m'k?

in the meantime- you know what wasn't fake news?

GOP Leader Admits Handing Out Tobacco Checks on House Floor
KATHERINE RIZZOMay 10, 1996
WASHINGTON (AP) _ A member of the House Republican leadership team admitted Friday he distributed a tobacco PAC’s campaign checks on the House floor, but said he’ll never do it again.

Watchdog groups said the practice is legal but condemned it as outrageous, nonetheless.

GOP Conference Chairman John Boehner, R-Ohio, said he stopped handing out the checks after being questioned about the practice by ``a few of my colleagues.″

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....good times.........................

You said Democrats take control whenever they can. Well, so do Republicans. You can't just say one and not the other. Espcially when lobbying is involved.
I have no idea what republicans have to do with this

there are plenty of whores in congress from both sides of the aisle that are taking big tobacco cash.

Tobacco PAC Contributions to Federal Candidates
Is this about banning something? Lol wtf are you adding who gets what

because tobacco lobbyists have enough pols... including (R)s ---- which you asked what did they have to do with any banning ----- in their pocket to make sure they aren't banned like vaping crap.

doy.

Juul, a leading brand of vaping crap, is largely owned by Altria- the maker of Marlboros. Blu e-cigs are largely owned by Lorillard, the maker of Newports.

Why would this new product be treated differently by lobbyists since its a "big tobacco" product too?

I think its the government thats getting greedy here. The big Tobacco Settlement in 1998 or so, doesn't cover e-cigs. Cigarette taxes aren't levied on this product either.

of course the settlement doesn't cover e cigs cause they don't have tobacco in them. i'm fine with banning them both... or at the very least, slap a sin tax on them & make them too expensive to deal with.

Nice try but neither side is clean when it come to being bought and if you claim the left is only owned then you clearly are a fool because you are not fooling anyone with that foolish nonsense...
