I liked the rule, if your opponent can march down the field and score a TD on their opening possession then you should lose.

The problem is that in every sport the clock does strike zero and games end tied. And in every sport except football the overtime rules were equal for each opponent. Your "argument" lacks merit.

I would have preferred they just play a 10 minute "fifth quarter" for all games (except pre-season) but this is a good step.
