We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society. We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOnOh no! You’re going to be banned because you can’t follow the rules! Oh god! The censorship!
The president of Nigeria isn’t banned from the internet. He’s welcome to host his own content. Twitter is not.
That’s not a subtle difference. That’s a monumental difference. This should be obvious to anyone with half a brain and is not something you’ve shown a spine and willingness to address.
