No one dare call it fascism...

It might be cheaper to contract with Russia to incarcerate our criminals in their Siberian gulags. It would be cheaper than keeping them here and Russia can use the money. One Siberian winter and those mexicans might appreciate their own country for a change.

Mexicans and all others who cross our border illegally have committed a misdemeanor, not a felony; those who overstay their Visa have committed no crime but could suffer civil penalties, a fine and deportations, subsequent to a finding by an administrative law judge. Citizen or not, due process is the law of our land no matter what you think, nor what Trump/Pence/Sessions seek to do.

Those who have crossed the border illegally twice or more have committed a felony, misdemeanors are crimes, every illegal is a criminal.

I have no problem deporting illegals who commit felonies while here. I'd prefer keeping the America loving, hardworking, family oriented, Christian illegal and deport the entire student body and faculty of Berkley

That's not my understanding, please post the points and authority.

Not if they cross a second time, then it is a felony each time afterwards.

We need to use RICO laws to sack and eradicate all businesses and political groups who exploit these felons in our midst.

There are laws (CA law, petty with a prior) which elevate a second conviction to a felony when the first was a misdemeanor, but you are the second person to make this claim without providing evidence. Please do so.

So you support using the RICO Statute, meant to punish the Mafia, to put a corporation in jail? Odd that, unless you charge the owner, CEO and Director of HR as defendants and put them in jail, your suggestion is absurd.

Federal officials defend immigration arrests in courthouses

Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly have defended federal agents who make immigration arrests at courthouses after California's top judge asked them to stop, according to a letter released Friday...

Cantil-Sakauye said Friday she was disappointed that courthouses would not be added to the list of "sensitive areas" where immigration officials don't make deportation arrests. They include schools, churches and hospitals.

Without witness and victim testimony as evidence, dangerous suspects could go free, San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon said. He said local policies protecting immigrants aren't to blame and urged federal officials to get a warrant to make immigration arrests.

"The idea that entering courthouses to make immigration related arrests somehow enhances public safety is disturbingly backwards," Gascon said in a statement.

Fear mongering on steroids fools some of the people all of the time, and is a slap in the face of justice.

Agree or disagree, that is the question.

The concern that illegal aliens who are afraid to testify might mean that "dangerous criminals" might go free is a valid point.

I would not call it "fear mongering".

In very special circumstances I could see allowing limited and temporary protection for such witnesses, say murder trials.

BUT, we have to face the fact that lefties will abuse any and every tool at their disposal to aid and abet criminals.

SO, no. Arrest them all and deport them all.

If a murder goes free, it is on lefties.

No one calls it fascism, because IT IS NOT FASCISM TO ENFORCE OLD DULY PASSED LAWS, NIT WIT!

Wrong, the actions of Trump and Sessions are Authoritarian and Evil, Divisive and Counterproductive. We have a systemic problem on steroids and have since the first EO in January 2017.

I don't give a shit where or when officials arrest criminal aliens.

Period.

Just get them out.

A criminal, citizen or not, have rights in America, both constitutional and statutory. Maybe you live in the wrong country or were born in the wrong century, but the regulations (statutory exercise of law in this case) is an example of an Authoritarian's misuse of power.

To alleviate Pete7469's ignorance, and that of others who support this form of tyranny, see:

Is Illegal Immigration a Crime? Improper Entry v. Unlawful Presence

A citation (a ticket) can be issued when a misdemeanor is discovered, making an arrest requires the detention of the subject, who is then taken into local custody. There, the sheriff is well within his authority to release the subject with a notice to appear, wherein the trier of fact can set bail or release the subject on OR.

It is political theater, a costly one for local LE and one which is divisive and foolish.

The point is that they need to go home.

A sheriff that releases them back onto the streets is aiding in the criminal CONTINUING to commit his crime.

Twisted logic ^^^

It's time, past time, for the Congress to pass a new immigration law, one which is comprehensive and satisfies the blood lust of the lunatic fringe, as well as the rights and needs of the nation and those who aspire to be good citizens.

Simple things like health care in America (sarcasm, using Trump's ignorance rhetorically) and the reform of tax policy and the myriad other problems facing our nation need serious adults engaging in serious debate and leaving ideology, hate, fear and brinkmanship out the door.

I think we'll just start enforcing the immigration laws we have. Hasn't been done in 30 years.

Yes having borders is fascist, god you are a dumb fuck.

Well, you've proved yourself to be a coward and an asshole, which in my life = a punk.

When you smear people with the term fascist, for wanting to deport illegal aliens, you are the one that took the debate into the gutter.

Just following cause and effect. Don't like it? CHange your lefty behavior.

Since when is it fascism to finally enforce American Immigration laws?
These laws are not new, they have been around for many years, so quit bitch that ICE is finally allowed to do their job.

You're simple minded. Overcrowded jails and court orders to reduce overcrowding give the elected sheriff the authority to act. A no bail bench warrant is the only sure way to keep a subject in custody, and what you advocate would create huge holes in the budget of LE.

If Trump & Sessions continue to act with foolish disregard for local government, they will pay the price as resistance to federal authority will grow.

Good luck with that. How many millions will be caught in a dragnet and who will pay the costs? Do you have any idea as to the cost of detaining, feeding, clothing, and providing legal aid, medical treatment to do what Trump promised?

He will need to hire Administrative Law Judges, find courtroom and detention facilities, legal aid, court clerks, court reporters, bailiffs and administrative staff to organize and supervisor staffing, etc. etc. $$$$$$

You are fucking stupid, end of story. Tell me, are you going to work in the fields to replace the Mexicans that have traditionally done the work? Naw, you ain't going to work at anything, period.

Hey Fuckface, NO ONE has suggested we don't need immigrants to do those jobs.

I welcome MORE immigrants to enter LEGALLY and work as hard as those people do.

Furthermore mexicans have not "traditionally" done all the fucking harvest work in the US.

Low skilled people have "traditionally" done low-no skill labor since the dawn of fucking time.

The sort of jobs turds like you should be doing rather than being subsidized to parrot leftist psycobabble on the internet.

If you paid attention, and you've likely never paid for anything through physical exertion let alone maintained cognizance of your own surroundings, you'd know I welcome MORE immigration through legal means to supply a labor resource that can be paid lower than minimum wage if they're provided with humane conditions and maintain adherence to the law.

Sociopaths and MORONS like you are content with criminals remaining untraced, and allowing the exploitation of these people.

Be honest. YOu don't care about their budgets. You just want the illegals to stay because it advances your lefty agenda.

Supposedly Obama deported record numbers. The problem is that they just walked back over the border.

Seal the border, hold employers accountable, and the immigration revolving door becomes a one way turnstile.
