Dylann Roof taken down by North Carolina florist s tip - NY Daily News

A North Carolina woman driving to work at a florist shop spotted an ominous black Hyundai and called in the crucial tip that brought down church shooting suspect Dylann Roof, according to reports.

Debbie Dills had been following the grim news out of Charleston, S.C., and she’d seen pictures of the sedan and the scrawny killer with a bad haircut.

“I knew it was a black car, and it had a tag on the front,” Dills told the Shelby Star newspaper. “I saw pictures of him with the bowl cut. I said, I’ve seen that car for some reason. I look, and it’s got a South Carolina tag on it. I thought, ‘Nah, that’s not his car.’ Then I got closer and saw that haircut. I was nervous. I had the worst feeling. Is that him or not him?”

.

Congrats to the state and local Police of South Carolina who put the information out and responded to the tip and managed to get the job done in record time. These guys never get enough credit when the feds come aboard.

This woman followed the kid for 35 miles all because of a bad haircut

She stayed until the police cuffed the guy

1. Her tip got him caught, she didn't catch him.

2. What was so ominous about the Hyundai?

3. Why did you feel the need to exaggerate the truth in the title?

4. This is a current event, why is it in politics.

Are you claiming it was first rate police work that caught him?

Wasn't just a random tip. She followed him for 35 miles till the police finally pulled him over

She saw him, reported it and maintained visual contact, the police caught him. I give her credit for being observant and persistent.

Ok, I answered your question, now answer mine.

I posted it in "Politics" because "Curent Events" is where threads go to die

the lady gets street creds.....

1. she knew the car keyed something in her brain
2. she followed her instincts
3. she called it in

anyone who cant see that...is rather dim

the police were doing their jobs...she was going out of her way and endangering herself to some extent to do this

And she's a big time Christian.

Damned good Christian

She could have said...I'm late for work, I called in the tip....let the police take it from here
But she followed him until the police had him in custody

or a good citizen who simply could not stand the thought of one more person dying at the hands of this nut...who knew where he was headed....shelby is the bottom of the mountain not really charlotte

You are correct that she took a risk in following him.
He had already killed nine people, he would not have hesitated firing shots at her

think about it..you see what you are pretty sure is a dude who just murdered people at a prayer session....and what do you think...where is he doing..what about if he is headed to the school your kids go to or your nephew goes too.....your only hope is to follow him and obviously she wanted to see that he was in custody

Yep. She snitched.

Snitching lowers violent crime. Snitching puts criminals in jail.

Everyone remember that.
