Jesus was talking to a Jewish law expert in that story. And Jesus is quoting Leviticus 19 there.

So who were the Jews neighbors? Other Jews. Fellow believers.

It is almost like you absolutely refuse to accept the actual words of Jesus in your desire to hate homosexuals.
The priest and the Levite- both Jews- refused to show mercy to the robbery victim- but Samaritans were not accepted as Jews by Jews of the time- yet as Jesus showed- the Samaritan was the neighbor.

So why do you reject homosexuals as your neighbors?

KJV- John 13-34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Matthew 5:43-48

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbora]">[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Only a faux Christian ignores Jesus's words, and focus's on hating people.

He gave that commandment to the people who were listening to him speak at the time. They are Christians. He's telling CHRISTIANS to love one another.

And we can love our enemies and still kill them. God loves us, but allows us to suffer and die for our sins because that's the only way we learn.

You probably missed out the part of the Reformation and the Thirty Years War in your haste to condemn homosexuals.

Protestants killed peasants because their rulers made the peasants Catholics.
