As an index of their outlook, Neal Knox, instrumental in the Cincinnati insurrection, thought that the assassinations of President Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. might be part of a plot to advance gun control, and favored rolling back restrictions on the private ownership of machine guns.

Nobody is selling military grade weapons to any civilians mentally ill or not. No full auto weapons are for sale to the general public. (least wise without the specific approval of the highest LEO in the local area and several additional restrictions including prohibitively high pricing).

The NRA is out of step with the country. People are getting wise to the fact that it is the tool of gun manufacturers who recklessly want to sell their product without concern to the consequences.

First of all you need to stop lying in your posts. Either that or you are hopelessly ignorant about the topic you are discussing. Nobody is selling military grade weapons to any civilians mentally ill or not. No full auto weapons are for sale to the general public. An AR-15 has all the capabilities of a M-16 except firing full auto. (Which you can do by simply filing off a sear guard.)

The fact is, most soldiers don't use the full-auto feature. It just wastes bullets.

These guns should not be in the hands of civilians. Period.

We're talking about ownership of regular run of the mill semi auto rifles which cause fewer deaths in the country each year than people's fists and feet as documented by the FBI year in and year out.
