Anybody think the NY attorney general can't find a friendly judge to issue blanket subpoenas? Protecting our kids is one thing but a political stunt is something else. While she is at it why doesn't the NY A.G. issue subpoenas to Muslem organizations to uncover possible terrorist ties?

...or gay pride parade organizers for promoting raw burlesque shows regularly where they invite kids to watch in what they call a "family friendly" event?

Issuing a pile of subpoenas without any specific charges smells like a political stunt. N.Y. needed some positive press since the Gov. told citizens that he thought America never was that great and we are getting close to mid term elections.

Actually he has his primary this Tuesday, so he has to make sure he gives his base a little reach-around.

Yes, the RC Church has issues, and criminal acts have gone unpunished, but this just smells like a fishing expedition.

New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood has subpoenaed all eight Roman Catholic dioceses in the state as part of an investigation into the handling of sex abuse allegations.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly told The Associated Press the subpoenas went out Thursday.

The subpoenas seek documents relating to abuse allegations, payments to victims or findings from internal church investigations.

Underwood’s office is pursuing a civil investigation into the church’s response to abuse reports and has also reached out to local prosecutors authorized to convene grand juries or pursue criminal investigations.

And the LGBT heirarchy doesn't even bother to cover up their abuse of children. In fact, they put it on parade every year in nearly every town and city across the US. At least the Catholics admit its a problem. Beware the groups who consider sexualizing or sexual exposure to children something to be "publicly proud of"... especially when those same groups persecute the entire Catholic faith for same isolated cases of abuse, under the machinery of political expediency. That's doubly-insidious.. Have you ever heard of an LGBT person denouncing a pride parade publicly? No? Me either..
