Again, this is all wonderful and stuff, supposedly, but looking at your chart, what you leave out ist hat the SURGICAL abortion rate has dropped for the whole country by about that amount.

Part of that is because PP and other organizations have gotten better at teaching birth control. Part of that is because with the advent of RU-486, most abortions are done chemically now. In the case of MO and other anti-choice states, women are just driving across the border to have abortions done.

In the Philippines, where the Roman Catholic Church is taken so seriously people nail themselves to crosses to celebrate Easter, they've managed to get abortion outlawed. Yet the Philippines has a higher rate of abortion than the US. In a population of 90 million, they have from 500K-800K abortions a year.


Meanwhile, over in France. The government pays for abortion. They also pay for health care, have strong medical and family leave laws (paid) and even have social workers who visit new mothers in their homes to help them out with chores and get settled into new motherhood.
