Chapter 11 is a restructuirng process...not necessarily the sdismantling of a company.
GM would have been restrucutred...debt would have been lowered att he cost of the creditors....and contracts would have been re-negotiated.

Ok, I agree, I think we are splitting hairs. I would expect to see a Chevrolet company, a Buick company, a GMC or truck company, etc. Those would be new corporate entities that would be set up as part of the bankruptcy restructuring.
