Yes the Senate is the establishment. But every REP senator is a politician first. They didn't get where they are today without being extremely smart politicians starting back when they ran for city councilmen.

Some REP senator in the middle of nowhere falls on his sword and the establishment finds him a corner office on the fortieth floor in some 'who the fuck knows what they do" lobbying firm making three times what he made in Washington.
