Another good thing about the election is the losses in the House for the Democrats. Not enough to really matter, but enough to sting.

There was a call for the Democratic House delegation on Friday to discuss the election, and the moderates were furious at the far left of the party.

All the gains in 2018 - and they were huge - came in swing districts that Democrats took from Republicans. This year, the Democrats are on course to lose at least six of those districts they won in 2018 to moderate Republicans.

The far left of the Democratic party sits mostly in hardcore Democratic districts where a potted plant could win if they had a D behind their names. They don't feel the reprecussions of far left ideas.

But they do in the swing districts. And the moderates believe that "Defund the police" and "Socialism" cost them seats.
