Child, adult shot in north St. Louis





(KMOV.com) – Police said a 5-year-old child was shot and killed in north St. Louis Wednesday night.

According to police, a family was leaving O'Fallon Park in a van when a car pulled up along side and someone inside fired shots. Two children and an adult inside the van were hit. Police said someone inside the victims' car then fired back. The family then drove to the 5500 block of Genevieve.

The 5-year-old victim was taken to a hospital but later died. The other two victims, an elderly man and a teen, were taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Authorities have closed down West Florissant near O'Fallon Park and are canvassing the neighborhood for the
