Four years ago I did a betting thing on the Olympics. People were given a country and the team that had the biggest increase in medals per capita and the best team per capita for those Olympics would win.

And the bloody two gamblers at work were the two that won. Typical.

Well, here's the medals page per capita, rather than the bullshit of you have the most medals which is clearly unfair.

Kosovo is number one right now with one medal per 1.8 million people, they have 1.8 million people and one medal.

Slovenia and Hungary are next. China is 41st out of 45 country. The US is 29th. Okay, it's only the first few days, but so much more interesting. By the time the Athletics gets under way then the small Caribbean countries get in their too.

Grenada came top for Gold medals last time in 2012, one gold per 110,000 people. Bahamas, Jamaica then New Zealand.

China came in at 48th, Mexico last, the US 29th the hosts 11th.

The US came in 49th for total medals, China 74th and India last with one medal per 1.2 billion people.

It's such a better table.

The source, I almost forgot.
