From that picture you can't make out any signs of swelling/bruising that may or may not be present. Bruising of the eye (the typical black eye) can take 1-2 days to present itself from a punch to the eye. You also throw in the fact that fractures to facial bones will bleed more slowly than soft tissue and you can easily expect 1-2 days from impact to the appearance of a black eye. Apparently a little more knowledge here would prevent some from coming across as foolish.

Despite what you think you see or don't in the grainy picture it really does not matter as I am sure the GJ was presented with all medical findings as well as the officers hospital records

A blowout fracture can manifest itself in many forms depending on the severity. Often a person may not know they suffer from the injury until days after. In the case of a simple blowout fracture a person may not suffer the common symptoms of swelling and present with minimal to no blurred/double vision. In the case of a simple fracture often no medical intervention except oral decongestants and steroids to reduce swelling will be required.

It really does not matter if the officer suffered the blow out fracture or not, If he was struck by an assailant who was attempting to get his gun he is well within his right to protect himself with deadly force.

He did not have extensive or serious injuries. There is more than one photo of this guy after the incident, and he displays no evidence of being in pain or being injured. It's all made up after the fact.
