In a way, he IS. He is the nation's US AG, and he works for the President of the United States.

If you would feel better if I phrased it a different way, Sessions f*ed me and every other American by saying he would take the job only to immediately and unnecessarily abdicate his position, responsibility, control, and duties to a man who has already broken the law by refusing to comply with a Congressional subpoena....meaning the DOJ is being sun by a criminal who refuses to acknowledge his own conflict of interest, refuses to acknowledge Congress' authority, and refuses to acknowledge the law he has broken.

Sessions is acting as AG.. For example. setting up religious liberty task force.
Sessions has only recused himself of any Russia related activities. He's otherwise going full steam ahead with these discrimination policies.
