Our Constitution, may be the envy of the rest of the world, EXCEPT............

Of course, the only exception is that second amendment that allows virtually anyone who wants to buy a gun whose ONLY main purpose is to kill other humans as thoroughly and fast as possible.

NO ONE is talking about banning ALL guns from Americans who wish to protect themselves, their families and homes......NO ONE is stating that..................But to openly sell guns that are just as lethal as the weapons we give to our armed forces in a war, is INSANE.

Do you know how many other countries have in the Constitutions the right to buy whatever weapons a citizen may wish ???

The answer is 3 others besides us........Haiti, Mexico and Guatemala.

Dec 14, 2010 - Guatemala's Article 38 is the only one that's as broad as our Second Amendment (it guarantees "the right of possession of arms for personal use"). Article 10 of the Mexican constitution and Article 268-1 of Haiti's constitution limit the right to the confines of the home and allow the government to pass laws

The only thing that ensures the 1st and all other Amendments stand is the Second Amendment

Love your kids, not your alcohol. Kill 400 times as many children as mass shootings per year. Nobody needs alcohol.

Love your kids, not your swimming pool. Kills 70 times as many children as mass shooting per year. Who needs a pool?

Love your kids, not your social media. Distracted driving kills 2000 times more children than mass shootings per year. Nobody needs their text and web features enabled while in motion.

And none of these things are protected by the Constitution.

Where is all the "it's for the kids" advocation on these deaths?

People who want to ban all guns use these deaths to propel their agenda. Using the terrible and tragic actions of 6 people to limit the rights of 100 million is wrong, no matter how you slice it. I feel bad for these children, and their parents...in the same way I feel for those who lose loved ones in car accidents, drownings and tornadoes.

What gun grabbers don't understand is evil causes these tragedies, not guns. Take away the guns, and the perpetrators will just find other ways. Rodgers used his car...the columbine boys build propane bombs. The terrorists overseas use trucks. McVeigh used a truck and a bomb.

I get it, guns scare the shit out of you. But that doesn't change the fact that 100+ million Americans own them and use/keep them in a legal/ethical/safe manner. Criminals are going to kill each other, people are going to kill themselves...we have eliminated 90% of gun deaths right there.

You are on the wrong side. But it is your right to be on that side. But we are never going to stop fighting you...ever --- believe it.

And none of these th

Why is the girl on the right wearing a 'Star Trek' uniform? And why isn't it red?
/——/ Beginning with the first regular series episode "The Man Trap", the Star Trek department colors were slightly altered from the pilot versions: command and helm personnel wear gold shirts; operations, engineering and security personnel wear red; and science and medical personnel wear blue, all with black collars and undershirts. Hope that clears it up.

The original pilot shirts were high ribbed collar with no black contrast. In the first pilot, 'The Cage', there were no red shirts. Only gold and blue.

In the second pilot, 'Where No Man Has Gone Before', shown third in the series, they introduced red shirts for security guards but there were no redshirt deaths. It wasn't until the first season episode "What are Little Girls Made of?", seventh show of the first season, that an anonymous redshirt died on the show.

Statistically, the first season was pretty easy on redshirts ... they only killed four, compared to four blues and seven golds. However, Season 2 was a blood bath for the redshirts, 16 deaths compared to 4 for all other crew and non-crew deaths in the season.

Season 3 was slightly less bloody with six redshirt deaths compared to only one of other crew members.

Overall, 26 redshirts died on The Original Series compared to only 15 other colors ... and 15 non-crew deaths.

I'm the proud owner of a hero-quality TOS pilot laser pistol out of molded polyurethane and machined aluminum tubing from a mold I made from screenshots . I molded a pilot communicator in clear resin, also from a screenshot.

Can the crazy left elaborate on the claim that the 2nd Amendment allows anyone to kill other humans? There is a list of laws that modify the 2nd Amendment that would fill a good sized law library and knives and automobiles kill more humans in the United States than firearms. Radical islamic fundamentalism was the cause of a U.S. Army Major to open fire on his own Troops. The Hussein administration was aware of it but chose not to interfere with the Jihad Major's promising career.

Did I not say that our Constitution is the envy of all others
Yeah? Who envies it? I certainly don't, nor can I think of any wanting to adopt it. After all, it's given you your dysfunctional government.

You just lied.....the AR-15 is not given to our troops...in any branch of the service......

Mexico has one gun store...controlled by the Mexican military...the same military that helps the drug cartels murder 30,000 Mexican citizens a year.........since normal, law abiding Mexican citizens can't get access to those guns......since the Military controls the only gun store....

And before you praise the countries that don't allow their people to have guns....those same countries, Germany, Russia, China.....murdered close to 100 million people, in gas chambers, gulags, and forced starvation....

After they took their guns from them.....

Germany did everything you want ....they banned and confiscated guns and they registered what was left....then, 20 years later, the national socialists used those registration lists to take the guns away from Jews and their political enemies.....and sent 12 million innocent men, women and children, from Germany, and the other European countries that also disarmed their people...to gas chambers....

The only place that didn't happen...Switzerland....who armed their citizens with military rifles....it is the most popular civilian and police rifle in the Country with over 8 million of them in private hands.....and if you are allowed to ban that, you will ban all the other semi auto rifles in the country as well as all the semi auto pistols...and revolvers.......

THE SWISS WERE PREPARED TO FIGHT FACISM TO THE BITTER END | FRONTLINE | PBS

That is why the Nazis despised Switzerland. Joseph Goebbels called Switzerland "this stinking little state" where "sentiment has turned very much against us." Adolf Hitler decided that "all the rubbish of small nations still existing in Europe must be liquidated," even if it meant he would later "be attacked as the 'Butcher of the Swiss.'"

The 1940 Nazi invasion plan, Operation Tannenbaum, was not executed, and SS Oberst Hermann Bohme's 1943 memorandum warned that an invasion of Switzerland would be too costly because every man was armed and trained to shoot. This did not stop the Gestapo from preparing lists of Swiss to be liquidated once the Nazis overran the country.

The other European nations were easily toppled and had little means to wage a partisan war against the occupation. Once their standing armies were defeated, the governments capitulated and the populaces were defenseless.

Only in Switzerland was the entire populace armed and prepared to wage a relentless guerrilla war against an invader. When the war began in 1939, Switzerland mobilized 435,000 citizen soldiers out of a population of 4.2 million. Production figures for Swiss service rifles, which had firepower equal to those of the Germans, demonstrate an ample supply of small arms. Swiss militiamen were instructed to disregard any alleged "official" surrender as enemy propaganda and, if necessary, to fight individually. This meant that a nation of sharpshooters would be sniping at German soldiers at long ranges from every mountain.

While neutral, Switzerland was prepared to fight a Nazi invasion to the end. The celebrated Swiss Gen. Henri Guisan developed the strategy known as defense du reduit--an initial opposition followed by a retreat into the Alps, where a relentless war to the death would be waged. Most Swiss strongly opposed Nazism. Death sentences were issued for fifth-column activities, and proclamations against anti-Semitism were passed at various official levels. There was no Holocaust on Swiss soil, something that can not be said for France, the Netherlands, Poland or most of Europe.

Go ahead and try to pass an amendment or repeal the second amendment.

Sure you can get it through the house ( if Democrats win in November ) but you will never have the vote in the Senate because Democrats will never have 66 votes and then you will need the States approval which will fail.

Now I am sure you will funny my response without understanding I am being realist and not some idealist.

Wal-Mart and Dicks Sporting Goods are doing what is needed by stop selling yue product.

I know you prefer Big Brother to force others to do what you want but in the end killers will kill and no matter how many laws you pass it will never stop them.

I know you believe because you are the idealist that never learn.

Who gives a rats ass what the "rest of the world" thinks?

The Rest of the world murdered close to 200 million people ...unarmed, innocent people.....we have nothing to learn from them....

WILLIAMS: Fascism And Communism

The People's Republic of China tops the list, with 76 million lives lost at the hands of the government from 1949 to 1987.

The Soviet Union follows, with 62 million lives lost from 1917 to 1987.

Adolf Hitler's Nazi German government killed 21 million people between 1933 and 1945.

Then there are lesser murdering regimes, such as Nationalist China, Japan, Turkey, Vietnam and Mexico.

According to Rummel's research, the 20th century saw 262 millionpeople's lives lost at the hands of their own governments.

Nat doesn't understand why our Founders, who are far wiser than most of us today, enshrined our right to self defense in the constitution.

Thankfully he doesn't need to understand it. We still have our rights

Well....to be fair....filling mass graves with dead innocent men, women and children is a lot harder if they can shoot back.....so those other countries are just trying to make that process more streamlined........when they need it..

Absolutely true. Rather, you can teach them quite a bit when it comes to genocide and mass murder. And even more when it comes to self delusion.

The document hasn't given us the dysfunction; the changes we've made to the original system are what has made it dysfunctional.
