Our Constitution, may be the envy of the rest of the world, EXCEPT............

Based on the many SCOTUS rulings on the 2nd Amendment, it's not the amendment per se that is the problem, it's the legislatures being in the pocket of the gun nut extremists who buy off politicians to oppose gun control legislation that is already known to be constitutional.

Well, I would have to come up with a few MORE bucks than the NRA to bribe the 2/3 of congress

The NRA only has about five million or so members. You've repeatedly said that the overwhelming majority of Americans support repealing the 2nd Amendment. Surely you can get them to donate money to your cause.

After all, you have the power of your convictions and the certain belief that everyone who doesn't believe as you is an idiot.

How can you lose?

So, go ahead then amend the Constitution and 2nd amendment, if you can convince 2/3 of the House and Senate

Well, I would have to come up with a few MORE bucks than the NRA to bribe the 2/3 of congress.....So, I can't....lol

You bunch of cry babies have no reason to bitch about the 2nd, the law allows you to amend/change the constitution anytime you can muster the votes. If you can't then you have not convinced the American people so suck it.

Of course, the only exception is that second amendment that allows virtually anyone who wants to buy a gun whose ONLY main purpose is to kill other humans as thoroughly and fast as possible.

NO ONE is talking about banning ALL guns from Americans who wish to protect themselves, their families and homes......NO ONE is stating that..................But to openly sell guns that are just as lethal as the weapons we give to our armed forces in a war, is INSANE.

Do you know how many other countries have in the Constitutions the right to buy whatever weapons a citizen may wish ???

The answer is 3 others besides us........Haiti, Mexico and Guatemala.

How many countries have gun rights enshrined in their constitutions ...

Apr 5, 2013 - Of course, many Americans, and a minority of the Supreme Court, believe that our "militia clause" amounts to one such a restriction – an interpretation the court rejected in 2008 when it ruled that the Second Amendment protected the individual right to bear arms. So what are the other countries that have ...

Do other countries have a constitutional right to bear arms?

Dec 14, 2010 - Guatemala's Article 38 is the only one that's as broad as our Second Amendment (it guarantees "the right of possession of arms for personal use"). Article 10 of the Mexican constitution and Article 268-1 of Haiti's constitution limit the right to the confines of the home and allow the government to pass laws

Start an association that has a goal to do what you want done. Then go out and recruit membership, like teachers or others, start charging a membership fee and then use the money to lobby your legislatures to change the 2nd Amendment. If you want it to start somewhere, why not with you.

If immigration is the cause of American violence then it started right here...

Perhaps it's time to get past our differences and work on celebrating our similarities.

Yep. The I did and made the mistake of taking in the uninvited guests and they were nearly wiped out because of it. We need to learn thst lesson and end immigration as we know it.

The new policy needs to be the same as whst I have at home- Show up uninvited and unexpected and you're likely to be greeted by the business end of a gun.

Such as all the gun laws currently in place in various places.

Did I make any mention of a total ban being constitutional?

So you want to be a victim? What is your solution? Are you saying things will never change? Then why the thread? Just accept that we can do nothing? Not sure what the point of your thread is, if 78% of Americans want better gun laws then you should have a decent base to draw contributions off of. If you take the defeatist attitude then you are right you won't succeed.
