Our slow slide toward authoritarian rule.....

Even a high school drop-out (of which most of the Trump cult base consists of) should be able to figure out that if the U.S. were to REALLY ban travel from some countries, then Saudi Arabians, Egyptians and Lebanese should be included in that ban......

But, being Trump cult members, logic and reality have been placed aside for the sake of the demagoguery of a charlatan whom they've grown to worship as their cult leader....pretty much like North Koreans revere KJU.

If one reads the European press, we can see that Putin is the HUGE winner for authoritarian rule......Austria, Poland, Hungary, and even Italy are sliding toward authoritarianism......and we are NOT that far behind as we see that for a vocal segment of the american population, the word of TRUMP is much more valuable than the rule of law and what our Constitution has proscribed as what is needed in a true democracy.
I don’t think you know how the he’ll authoritarianism works. Here’s a hint. You can’t be authoritarian against people who aren’t in your country.

That authoritarian rule will manifest in conservative/red states as what will soon become the Trump Supreme Court continues to dismantle our Constitutional Republic and discard the rule of law.

The question, then, is will the authoritarian right be satisfied with the states once again compelling women to give birth against their will, criminalizing homosexuality, and restricting minorities’ ability to vote; or will they compel all the states to do the same through Federal authority.

Either way, the rule of law will soon fall victim to the authoritarian right and millions of American will no longer have the protected liberties they once enjoyed.

WA WA WA, this case was fully in line with previous precedent. And fully recognized the four corners doctrine.

.

I agree. This ruling being in line with previous precedent, will prevent future suits being heard by the court, when a Democratic administration uses that same precedent to shape it's own immigration policy. Conservatives brought multiple suits against Obama on immigration policy. They now will not be heard by the court anymore after this decision.

You're confusing issues, the EO in question was a national security determination, I doesn't really have much to do with immigration other than we can't be sure who they are because of the failed government they come from and to allow them is is a risk to our security.

The suits brought against maobama dealt with his trying to broaden presidential authority beyond what the law allows on the prosecution of illegal aliens. His claim that he had prosecutorial desecration to defer adjudication of a whole class of illegal aliens and grant work permits to people the law says aren't qualified for them, is and was a violation of the Constitution and an abuse of power. The States suit on DACA is in the courts now and will be resolved the same way its sister program DAPA was, it is unconstitutional. This decision will not effect those decisions.

The decision is a double edge sword. Hardly any victory for the Trumpanzees. The decision was clear in Roberts opinion. The President has broad authority on issues of immigration policy. The next Democratic President will enjoy those same broad powers. Any suit filed by conservatives that don't like whatever those decisions may be were struck a lethal blow today, as the court will refuse to hear them.

While democrats continue getting smacked by loses, Trump supporters can continue enjoying life. :)
