Paying off my car

It has a HUGE trunk too. I could fit a body in there. Maybe two or three adult male bodies, only one Moonglow though.
do have long legs, so it better be big...

Plenty of room, and the back seat folds down too!

My wife wanted a "comfortable" car for her 60th birthday. The Chevy Impala was one of those that were on several top review lists for "most comfortable cars to drive". She ended up with a Ford Fusion Titanium. The cars are very close, but the Ford dealership is local.

My favorite car was my Nissan Infinity Q45. It was kind of old but a really nice car! Mine looked exactly like this one, same color too. :) Parts for that car were really expensive though.

You buy the same car over and over.....
Sure, why not? I usually find someone that has one they don't know how to fix, buy cheap, fix myself...
Just asking, sounded like friend of mines routine. Next question was going to be how much I tools.....Every brand likes to have at least 1 or 2 areas where ya need a special tool for that car and after its junk ya can throw the tool away too

I dislike dealerships, they want too much....Last time I drove an Impala it looked like this..

Disagreed. Cars are not investments because they depreciate. A typical car payment is $400 for 5 years; $4,800 per year. I've never had to pay more than a quarter of that to maintain my vehicles except for an engine replacement. Maintaining a good used car is a lot cheaper than paying for a new one.

I have electronic tools I used from 25 years ago..I have a shed that is full of tools that I never throw away. But the new stuff is about 50-200 bucks, depends how fancy you want to go..The biggest problem with new cars like my parents have is the programming of their key-less operation..

:mm: Congratulations! :mm:
If I bought a new car at my age and kept it for 20 years I would be 77... I could be that old Uber driver... How long did it take you to pay it off?

Almost done paying off my car! I think I have like 3 payments left and then it's paid for. I can't wait. Hopefully it doesn't fall apart for a while anyway. I don't want to have to get into paying a stupid car payment every month again any time soon. I want a break. Lol.

I probably could have just paid it off sooner in a lump sum if not for Christmas, but I'm still happy that I only have a few more months left!

Then, clothes shopping. :D

Take care of it and you will get 150 200K out of it.

No car payments, you can afford a larger closet for all those shoes!

Agreed. Great way to go.

I do need more room for shoes and purses and clothes! :2up:

Thanks! :)

Five years.
Wow... I'd be done just in time for Social Security to kick in... I should think about it. I usually pay about $5,000 a year in assorted car repairs anyway (with 2 cars to maintain) A new one would really cut down on my maintenance costs...

I like this car's interior more than your new one ChrisL :)

That's what I'm hoping! I had to get rid of my Infiniti because I had just gotten done paying to fix it (like $750) and then something else was wrong with it. It was a beautiful car but had over 100,000 miles and was kind of old. Also, like I mentioned earlier, parts for that car were outrageous. Lol. I think it was one of those situations where you can only order parts from the dealer because they never released parts to the market or something? I'm not sure, but whatever the reason, the parts were too much for me when something was wrong with it.
