Dumbass, the spending and pay-fors ARE NOT IN THE SAME ACCOUNT.

When Medicare pays out less as a result of ACA that's not money that gets put into some sort of pay-for-ACA fund.

It pays out less because they don't pay what the provider charges. So many people don't have a choice for providers because the number of providers accepting Medicare is decreasing. As my MD put it, he's got to pay his bills to keep the lights on.

That is the problem with entitlement programs. Who created the situation in the first place is not he who will get blamed for its failure no matter who the actual responsible party is. Allow Obamacare to go down in flames while the Republicans are in power, allow the millions that gain subsidies with the program to lose them and you are going to bear the wrath of those that feel shorted.

If you thought the exodus of democrats out of Washington was huge - the Republicans would pay a far higher price than they did should they not address the problems that are coming out of Obamacare or try and simply take away the entitlements.
