Perspective: Democratic Party is at nearly its weakest point in a century

The current Democrat Party, and Democrat Presidential candidates are SCARING America. Everything is to promote Illegal Aliens, and Identity Politics and divisiveness. Bans, restrictions, forced mandates on your lifestyle, more, and more taxes. Destruction of the fossil fuel industry will bring the dark ages to the U.S. and have a ripple effect on the world.

A little perspective, shall we?

During Obama’s two terms in office, Democrats experienced a net loss of 968 state legislative seats, the largest net loss of state legislative seats in this category since World War II. The second-largest loss occurred following Dwight D. Eisenhower’s two terms in office, when Republicans were handed a net loss of 843 state legislative seats.

Democratic U.S. Senate seats fell from 55 to 46. Their share of the House plummeted from 256 seats to 194. … Democratic governerships also became a rarity during this eight-year period, slipping from 28 to 16.

After the election of Obama, there was much talk of a new era – that a coalition of young, minority and female voters would usher in gains for the Democrats for decades. That did not happen

He lost the House, then lost the Senate, then because of his socialist extremism gave the White House to Trump.

Obama’s Democrat Party has been a loser for 8 years on a colossal scale.

Okay, we Republicans lost one. The extremism and the insanity of the current crop of Dems almost ensures we will make up for that..

Dems are on an historic downhill losing streak, and their socialism and hate and extremism are just speeding it up.

That was written over a year ago. Post something relevant for today.
It is really looking like 4 Senate seat will be gained. House I have not idea. Seems to depend on how many illegal voters can get their votes pass the Reg, of Voters, and I don't mean like the Broward County Fla, Ms Snipes type of counting. Fla needs to send a Gov Office investigator to monitor activity.

No one knows what the electorate will do in 2020. The economy going into election night will determine the Presidency. Those voting for Congress have to decide if the Democrats deserve the Senate or not. If it DOES NOT change parties, it speaks volumes for Donald Trump if he is re-elected.

If anyone else was president this economy would guarantee a landslide victory

Might want to find something for AFTER the 2018 elections

^ It is relevant you imbecile. It brings us right up to the most recent election. The whole point is to step back and look at the big picture, dumbfuck.

Yes, Republican voter suppression and gerrymandering has been very effective at keeping Democrats out of office. But the one thing that your article failed to show was the actually numbers of votes cast for Democrats and Republicans. Republicans have won elections with a minority of votes in every election since 2000.

What we are seeing is the results of 40 years of Republican policies and lies. But people are seeking the abject power grabs. The willingness of Republicans to kow tow to the corrupt criminal they allowed to run for President. They promised oversignt and instead, they've enabled Trump's worst impulses, even if they refused to give him money for his wall.

I included that in my overall look. This is a MACRO look at wins and loses starting in 2008.

2018 was a bellwether election signaling the impact of Trump on the GOO

Democrats won by over 9 million votes in a midterm. A midterm that saw them take a heavily GOP gerrymandered House

The elections saw a large turnout of Dems mostly in the Suburbs. An area Trump won in 2016

LOLOL

Dumbfuck.

Going into the 2016 election, Republicans held a 4480 - 3358 (1122) lead over Democrats at the state and federal level.

Now? Republican hold a 4076 - 3727 (349) advantage.

That's a difference of 773.

So g'head ... tell me again how Democrats are at the weakest they've been in a century when they're considerably in more control than they were just 3 years ago.

They have lost the Hispanic, Black, Gay, Asian minority vote for good

Won’t be pretty for Republicans
