I don't see msnbc being much different, but they advertise as a source of opinion shows, and not hard news.

We just need a leader like Reagan or JFK, who is more than happy to listen and find common ground, and who is better than Biden at the game. We need to be led to find compromise, and not division. Biden's beholden to the progs, who aren't much at compromising.

As someone who feels like an outsider to this country's culture, even Black American culture to an extent, I have to say propaganda has pretty much always been a thing from when the first slaver imagined himself a hero for liberty and justice. Unity is one thing, and not even all that necessary. I'd be thrilled with functional.

But functional would require some semblance of a united ideology. If we ever had it before, we sure as shit don't have it now.

Every day, businesses in this country put people together from completely disparate backgrounds and perspectives, and those people can come up with some incredibly innovative solutions together.

The business analogy doesn't work either, because people tend to compromise more when they are being paid for their services. The innovation is profit driven. 'The Greater Good' in this sense are shareholders. There's little politics involved.

There's no excuse why that can't happen in politics. Outside of pure, childish ego.

Our politics are driven by ego.
