The problem is, Democrats clamor for "common sense" gun control legislation but if you break it down and look at their "common sense" proposals, none of them would have actually stopped any of the mass shootings we have had. It is naive to assume that if we had had a ban on assault weapons then those shooters would have chosen to stay at home and watch "I Love Lucy" reruns instead of shooting a bunch of people. They would have still done it anyway. Look at the Texas one. They guy was in there for a good solid hour. He could have easily killed 20 kids during that time with a handgun. Democrats want to believe they have done something and yet the proposals they are making wouldn't have stopped any of the mass shootings we have had. They would have happened anyway.
