The GOP is like Bonnie Tyler. Looking for a Hero. They'll accept even someone like Trump as long as Trump tells them what they want to hear.

Trump supported Liberals? Thats ok because he SAID he wont do that no more
Trump supported taking a woman home for a limo park? Thats ok because he's reassured us that was a mistake

They are like wifes who have been cheated on so many times they stopped looking for their dream boat and accepts Cletus from the bar. At least he has all his teeth :dunno: So that's something :dunno:

I could easily be wrong here, but I'm seeing little signs here and there that there are conservatives who are more in a salvage operation than a rescue operation.

In other words, I'm getting the impression that they feel the country is clearly going down a different road, and that the major battle has been lost. What some seem to be doing now is trying to salvage what elements of conservatism they can. But other than that, it's over.

Am I right or wrong?
.

when so-called conservatives are railing because they can't hang signs on their businesses saying "no blacks, no jews, no gays", in 2016, I don't think the party has anything it can do but run a salvage operation.

seriously, actual conservatives get left out in the cold with raving loons like that. better to let them go start their own party and re-build from there.

Give up? The GOP shellacked the left in the last election and polls show tight races for 2016...what a bunch of wishful thinking la la land BS

*snip idiot's meme*

he's the one complaining about being forced to serve blacks. but thanks for the waste of bandwidth. :cuckoo:

I think the R's had one too many presidential candidates of the same ole same ole in the beginning, also, the R's gaining full control of the House and Senate and still being a ''do nothing Congress has come back to bite them, making Trump stand out, as an outsider, more appealing than normal.
cool. Now explain Bernie.

Bernie is a serious candidate with a message that hasn't changed in 30 years. Trump is a parody candidate.

Stay on topic. The topic is consearervatives giving up.

YOu're missing the point.

The fight will continue no matter what path the nation takes, or how far it sinks.

The Left will ensure that by increasing over reach and abuse of (mostly) White Americans.

It will just get more and more ugly as time goes on and power continues to shift.

Ricci v. DeStefano - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Eighteen city firefighters, seventeen of whom were white and one of whom was Hispanic, brought suit under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 after they had passed the test for promotions to management positions and the city declined to promote them. New Haven officials invalidated the test results because none of the black firefighters scored high enough to be considered for the positions. City officials stated that they feared a lawsuit over the test's disproportionate exclusion of certain racial groups from promotion under the controversial "disparate impact" theory of liability.[2][3]

The Supreme Court heard the case on April 22, 2009, and issued its decision on June 29, 2009. The Court held 5–4 that New Haven's decision to ignore the test results violated Title VII because the city did not have a "strong basis in evidence" that it would have subjected itself to disparate-impact liability if it had promoted the white and Hispanic firefighters instead of the black firefighters."

Flip one Justice and blatant anti-white discrimination will be the law of the land.

"they believe in individual liberty? What radical nut jobs! They are so anti-American believing in the whole concept of America and what-not"

their liberty stops at others' noses.

and no, I don't want to live in a world where I can't be served because some freak doesn't like jews.
Conformity. The emotionally weak and insecures answer for everything.

The powers that be have done a tremendous job at dividing Americans into two lines.
But in reality the line is far-far-far more blurred in reality.
As a middle class American you are fucked either way. PERIOD. Democrat middle class or Republican middle class - THERE IS NO ONE REPRESENTING YOU.
We are a plutocratic corporatocracy...we are no longer a representative republic. We don't matter. Our government is 100% bought and paid for - both sides by special interest...aka - super corporations and the investor class.
Under Obama...a supposedly leftist liberal (hah).... the top 7% have seen their incomes rise 33%!!!!!! The remaining working 93%....lost 5%!!! So unless you are a very wealthy Democrat, you are not being served.

How about a world were being qualified isn't good enough if there aren't enough blacks who are qualified first?

not national elections, winger witch.

I don't play your little word games, fraud. Now run along and spew some more idiotic one liners and get past you're anything but an annoyance. The left was decimated in the last election, it was fucking ugly

Bernie is because Obama and Bill Clinton let us liberals and middle class Americans down. In too many ways the Democrats are DINO's. They are bought and sold by the corporations who run the other party too. Only maybe different corporations own the Democrats than own the Republicans. But the bankers own both sides.

So Bernie is popular because we picked Obama over Hillary because we believed he would bring about the most change. He didn't deliver as much as we would have wanted, so maybe we need to go with another lefty liberal. One that won't sell out. Hillary will sell out. She's still better than any Republican but maybe like 2008 we might go with someone else.

His message is ALOT more moderate. He knew that Marxist bullshit wasn't going to fly as a major platform.

if you open a business that is open to the public, you have to be granted public accommodation. how absurd and sad that you think that's "conformist" or emotionally weak.

I'd just say I'm not a hate-filled bigot.

That you equate NOT wanting to be discriminated with wanting TO discriminate is

a. dishonest

and

B. supports my opinion that the fight will grow increasingly ugly and libs like you gain more power and piss off more and more people.
