IMHO, Secretary Clinton lost because of the following reasons:

1. She was too shrill, and many people do not like shrill women.

2. President Obama did not campaign enthusiastically enough for her.

3. Many Caucasian people were very angry about the violent protests (Ferguson, Baltimore, etc.) during the preceding eight years.

4. Many people liked Candidate Trump's promise to increase employment opportunities at home.

5. Many people agreed with Candidate Trump that people in the world should not ignore our immigration laws.

6. Many people agreed with Candidate Trump that the United States should stop being the world's Sugar Daddy.

7. Many Democrats felt that Senator Sanders had been treated unfairly.
