You got that RIGHT! And there are other daytime soap operas that have followed suit as well with their inclusion of Gay characters. We are used to seeing torrid sex scenes between Heterosexuals with much kissing, near nudity, bedroom action, etc. that now Gays are doing the same thing on t.v. for parity and it is now becoming a Big Wave whose time has come and was long Overdue.

Not that many actually. The ones that were were quickly overridden by the ones now more popular than ever and the public just LOVES them!! I am so glad they do because you know the watchers, the members of the public mean everything to us!

Of course he won the emmy. There was no way a gay wasn't going to win the emmy even if he was portraying a corpse. Shows about gays have not done very well. The New Normal and Sean Saves The World both bombed. Networks have to comply with gay demands so gays have been stuck in bit parts. Gays have Modern Family where the gay characters are dragged along by real actors.

Well Rozman, think again because they are Stronger now and More Popular than ever! The story line and plots have gotten much better too with the addition of life as it exists today especially with Gay characters now so open. So soaps are sure making a lot of progress and a great impact these days! If you get a chance watch "Days of Our Lives." You'll like it for sure!

Daytime soap operas used to be popular because women didn't work and we're home to watch. Now if you watch soaps it screams unemployed.

Because women watched, the early sponsors were laundry detergent companies. Hence the name soap.
