On a hill
Not exactly the film of the year here.
It is entirely like all the rest of "boxing movies".... enter cracker jack kid, wins all the fights because he is so awesome... but then some tragedy comes into play and he can't win a fight if he had to and falls into self pity and loathing.
But wait... someone comes along and inspires him and he becomes super awesome again just in time for the movie end.
Right?
Yes. That is what happens.
We decided to watch it because of the historical aspect and it is based on an actual person.

Here is what I would say - it wasn't so bad we stopped watching it.
But I wouldn't watch it again that is for sure.
If you can't find anything else, you might give it a try. It's okay. But 100% predictable.

Nothing new here folks..

I guess all Boxing movies have basically the same plot

They need the untold Rocky Marciano story on the big screen to change gears on the genre.

"Guy gets into ring, guy wins. Guy gets in the ring two months later, guy wins. Hey, don't cheat and google the historical data, just keep watching, maybe he will lose one night!"

It was basically a Tom Cruise movie without Tom Cruise.
The best part of the movie was Ray Winestone. Not sure we would have kept watching without the character he played.
