Zone1 Punishment for Racism?

That's a very good question and I have to say quite frankly, I don't think racism should be legislated as a crime.

The issue of tangible racism has been solved. Now for the next two or three generations we just roll our eyes and giggle at the discussion until one day it just stops.

I can passionately hate my neighbor on the left and absolutely adore my neighbor on the right. If I violently assault the one on the right that I absolutely adore then I can be punished for assault. My feelings about my neighbor to the left cannot be remedied with legislation. I cannot be punished for my pure hatred. It just can’t be done. It would be an unjust witch hunt. We could just call people we hate racist to have them thrown in jail. It would have nothing to do with racism. It would just be exploiting a loophole in the law that would let us attack anybody we want with government force. Outlawing racism would be a complete disaster.
