A lone gunman killed a Queens imam and his assistant as the pair walked home from Saturday afternoon prayers, shooting each in the head from close range, cops and witnesses said. Both victims were dressed in Muslim garb when targeted by the shooter, who fled the scene on foot and remained at large. Members of the mosque quickly denounced the double homicide as a hate crime. “That’s not what America is about,” said local resident Khairul Islam, 33. “We blame Donald Trump for this ... Trump and his drama has created Islamophobia.”

The left is pretending that no one heard the term, islamophobia, before Trump became a candidate. (Though it's true Hard to reason with people who live and die by the latest talking points from Huffpo or Daily KO.

Funny that police immediately said it was not being investigated as a hate crime. Why? Because it was a Hispanic male who shot the men. So, if it wasn't a hate crime then islamophobia can't be a factor.

Of course, this will get more coverage, and the media will keep bringing up Trump's name and pretend that he is somehow connected. Meanwhile, the same media looks the other way with all the Muslim violence and hatred all over the world.
