Corruption and Rahm Emanuel are synonymous. Chicago politicians are notoriously corrupt, and alumni of the Obama machine are some of the most corrupt in the nation. So it is of little surprise that the Mayor of the murder capital of the world decided that the best way to revoke civil rights is to engage in racketeering.

{In the letter, Emanuel says TD Bank offers a $60 million line of credit to Smith & Wesson, which produces the AR-15. That is the weapon used by James Holmes in the Aurora, Colo., theater massacre that killed 12 people. Emanuel wrote.

Emanuel told CEO Bharat Masrani “to use your influence to push this company to find common ground” on an assault weapons ban and gun background checks.}

The illegal move by Emanuel to use his office to threaten banks who engage in LEGAL business with gun manufacturers violates RICO statutes, but as with most things associated with Chicago or the Obama administration, the law is no restraint to the mayor and his criminal associates.

18 USC Chapter 96 - RACKETEER INFLUENCED AND CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS | Title 18 - Crimes and Criminal Procedure | U.S. Code | LII / Legal Information Institute

Since the frontal assault on civil liberties by Dianne Feinstein and Barack Obama is failing, many criminal means are being employed by a far-left dedicated to restricting and revoking civil liberty in Americans. Emanuel is an example of the lengths the left will go to in the war on American rights.

Since firearms and ammo sales are EXPLODING (no pun intended), with many firearms manufacturers backlogged for MONTHS, and more orders pouring in every minute of every day, I doubt that firearms manufacturers are sweating what the MUNCHKIN mayor of Chicago is trying to do.

Here in New Hampshire, all of the gun shops I know of are virtually wiped out of assault-style weapons, and have waiting lists for AK-47s and AR-15s. The gun shops are also wiped out of ammo.

All of the Walmarts in the area are also virtually wiped out of firearms and ammo. The numerous pawn shops are begging for used guns to buy, because their shelves are empty. It's amazing.

Dick's Sporting Goods is suffering from some SERIOUS blowback, after they made the decision to pull all assault-style weapons from their gun departments. People are going elsewhere, and people are avoiding Dicks like the plague.

Maybe the best news is that Barack Obama FINALLY found a career he is GOOD at.

He is a GREAT firearms and ammo SALESMAN!

Rahm Emmanuel would have a point if gun control worked in Chicago. He could point to his city as a model for gun control laws.

40 murdered so far in 2013 for Chicago.

Looks like Chicago and Detroit are playing their own version of the "Super Bowl"........a competition to see which city can accumulate the most murders in 2013.

When I lived in the Detroit area several years ago, Detroit was known as the "murder-a-day" city. Mostly gang-bangers, but alot of drive-bys and plenty of armed robberies and drug deals gone bad.

Isn't forcing private companies to stay union rackiteering?

What Emanuel is attempting to do is cut off lines of credit and banking services. Should he succeed with his racketeering attempt, the sales and customer demand will be irrelevant, as the access to capital is denied.

Emanuel is a criminal, akin to John Gotti in methodology. Obama is employing Rahm to pursue the agenda of the left from a criminal perspective.

That is small picture information, the racketeering of Emanuel attacks on a big picture level. If Emanuel can coerce banks to refuse to deal with gun manufacturers, it WILL put them out of business, unless they start their own bank. Now Chicago criminals have used this tactic before, in the late 19th century, in an attempt to control the cattle markets. The Texas cattlemen responded by creating "Merchants Bank & Trust," which was not run by Chicago criminals. Maybe Sturm Ruger and others will start their own bank to escape the criminal activities of Emanuel and Obama - but then, I suspect the Obama administration will move to thwart attempts using permits and charters to deny gun manufacturers such a business.

Yes, but he is doing what he can to dry up supply. And "what he can" involves criminal activities, which are carried out by Chicago gangster, Ramn Emanuel.

Access to capital wouldn't be impaired, merely diverted. There's nothing to stop world gun makers from setting up their own bank, or using the banking services of a non-US bank.

It depends on how far the Obama administration is willing to go. Obama could use the federal government to block the establishment of a bank - and I have little doubt he would.

You're correct that they could use foreign banks, though.

Interesting that he would try to screw with a big Government Supplier like Smith & Wesson.
This may come back and bite Rahm Emanuel in the ass

he's got the small man syndrome.

That's simplistic. He's more complicated than that.

More like "Al Capone Syndrome?"

No, your Republicans consider him tough but fair, honest, direct and candid. Not certain what you are babbling about but Democrats begged him to stay in Washington. He's a real family man, I can see why he is taking on gun enthusiasts. His family and all of the shootings in Chicago, there's two.

He wanted to be Mayor of Chicago, who wouldn't? Not all politicians in Chicago are corrupt. Al Capone? :cuckoo:
