Who would think that reading books was an act of rebellion in a fascist backwater ?

A book ban is when the government uses any and all means to keep books out of the hands of its citizens; including, disrupting production and distribution of books and content and/or even punishing the author.

There are laws in the US prohibiting adult-child sexual relationships. Keeping books that promote and groom such content out of taxpayer-funded K-12 school libraries is far from a book ban. Groomers and pedophiles are still free publish written content depicting adult-child sexual relationships.
