Reagan, worst prez in our lifetime

Reagans ratings as President are slipping as the reality of his programs are sinking in

I think it has a lot more to do with the liberal brainwashing our students are receiving in the public schools and higher education... Oh, the horror

No, it has more to do with the realization of the impact Reagan policies had on the destruction of the middle class and a reliance on deficit spending

So you agree that deficit spending kills the middle class?

National Debt has increased more under Obama than under Bush - CBS News

He did some good things. Tax increases helped lessen the deficit, and his amnesty of so-called "illegal" immigrants was a smashing success.

He also actively dealt with our greatest enemy at the time, the USSR, in a respectful manner. Try to imagine today's cast of clowns in the GOP doing that. His diplomacy was much better back then, in marked contrast to the GOP's hamhanded diplomacy of today, which is basically "bomb or not bomb" at this point. The simpletonian GOP diplomacy leads to first class clusterf___s like the Iraq War, or embarrassing gaffe-a-thons like Mitt's cringe-inducing tour of Europe last summer. He wasn't even an elected official, and he was insulting and upsetting everyone in Europe, nonstop. The GOP is really just a joke.

Thank god we have our current policy maker who retreats at the sound of the bugle...talk about a cringe producer.

Wow. I forgot how upset consertives were that Osama was finally killed under a liberal Democrat instead of one of your chest-thumpin', macho-man conservative Republicans. That really got under your skin, didn't it? Hilarious.

Hummmmm ..... It got under your skin that an American ambassador was killed on Obama's watch. Hummmm.... Below is a list of the embassy attacks under bush along with a listing of the numbers killed.
WHY DIDN'T THESE GET UNDER YOUR SKIN?
January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan.
Suicide bomber connected with al Qaeda attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia.
U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of "Bali Bombings." No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan.
Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Armed al Qaeda terrorists storm the diplomatic compound, killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Al Qaeda terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again.
Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria.
Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece.
Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen.
Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey.
Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana'a, Yemen.
Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

bush looked the other way when warned about al Qaida's desire to strike America. When 3000 were killed in the twin towers, why didn't that get under your skin?

When 4500 American soldiers died in a war based on lies about WMD that did not exist, why didn't that get under your skin?

When didn't it get under your skin when almost 1800 people died in the Katrina natural disaster because bush had appointed a political hack who was incapable of doing the job?

You will bitch and moan about the Ambassador and a few others being killed in Libya but you will shut your eyes to the almost 10,000 Americans who died because of the actions bush took. Then you will tell us that Obama is the worst president ever while ignoring what bush did to this country. Do you have even the remotest idea how stupid that makes you look?

Because their hatred and their bigotry and their ignorance makes them blind.
And I am still waiting for the fact sheet that shows how ronnie single-handed defeated the USSR.

Since there seems to be a lot of Reagan Obama comparison going here lets compare both inherited messes from their predecessor both economic and foreign policy wise. During his Presidency the Republicans never had complete control of Congress the Democrats did for Obama's first two years in office. Despite having a split Congress Reagan was willing and able to work across party lines to get things done to date Obama has not. Reagan was able to stand toe to toe with a rival superpower and halt their attempts to expand their influence in the world has Obama accomplished this yet? What ever you think of Reagan's economic policies now he took the mess he was handed and turned it into a very big economic boom for the nation so far Obama has not accomplished this. While I don't consider Reagan a larger than life figure as some on the right do when I look at what both Reagan and Obama got when they were sworn in and the Congressional makeups they had to deal with Reagan did a much better job of handling things than Obama has.
