Seattle used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the country.

Seattle is so fucked.

I am so very happy to have escaped Washington.

Funny. Imagine the numbers of Washingtonians who are hemorrhaging out of the state. In the year and a half I have lived in South Dakota, my tiny town of not quite 1200 people has absorbed FOUR families from Western Washington and Oregon.

A couple of days ago, I met yet another couple who escaped from Western Washington in the check out line at the store. That's a hell of a lot of people from a densely populated culturally sophisticated area leaving in favor of flyover country.

Digest the irony. I love it.
