Won.

Now, it's up to Ryan and the majority in the H. of Rep. to vote.

Art. 1, Sec 5, Clause 3, to wit:
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its member for disorderly Behavior, and, with with the concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

Questions:
  1. Do you believe Gianforte was in the right when he physically attacked the reporter
  2. Do you believe the attack, should be upgraded from simple assault by the Prosecutor
  3. Do you feel Gianforte is a proper role model
  4. Do you support a movement to invoke Art 1, sec 5 and clause 3

We have almost unanimous RWnut support for Gianforte attacking a reporter. Such is the true face of conservatism in America.

lol, but what's funniest is these same people cried their eyes out for a week over what they claimed was the violation of Ann Coulter's free speech rights.

Funny, Hillary was under multiple investifations for crimes, to include Espionage, turned out to have broken laws and jeopardized national security, and fought to keep her in the race.

Obama protected Democrats who broke laws - Hillary, Holder, Reid, Castro..

And after being unable to beat another Republican in another election, then and only then are Democrats concerned with holding someone accountable.

:p

Why don't you want to hold Gianforte accountable?

Was what he did wrong yes should he have been charged with a crime and have his day in court yes as he has been and will have. Is he a proper role model I don't know enough about his past to say and it would be unfair to judge his whole life based on this one incident. Has the media blown this incident way out of proportion yes.

Try to stay on topic. You've proved time after time you are a hater of democracy, a hypocrite and a fool. All of which can never be corrected, they are character flaws you've had for life. But staying on topic is not too hard, and is only to difficult for the hysterical and emotionally disturbed.

Never heard of him before but I like him. There's nothing "democratic" about some maggot being aggressive in your face. Only spineless libs hide behind the law like that. Like little girls throwing spitballs behind daddy. Glad the citizens saw through it.

IMO:
  • He was charged with simple assault
  • I suspect the prosecutor's office in most of America would upgrade the complaint to Battery
  • The attack was tantamount to a sucker punch, if we are to believe the Fox Reporter who was only a few feet away when the event transpired. Police and little league coaches are held to a higher standard, why shouldn't a member of Congress too?

FYI:
assault (also called attempted battery) is a threat or physical act that creates a reasonable apprehension of imminent harmful or offensive contact, whereas battery is a physical act that results in that harmful or offensive contact.

The Penal Code in Montana divides assault into simple and aggravated: The former is a misdemeanor and the latter a felony. From the interview of the Fox News Reporter, she described the event as the latter, which best describes the candidates behavior, to wit:

"A person commits the offense of aggravated assault if the person purposely or knowingly causes serious bodily injury to another or purposely or knowingly, with the use of physical force or contact, causes reasonable apprehension of serious bodily injury or death in another."

No one not police little league coaches or even members of Congress should have one incident define their entire life or what type of person they are. If we find out this isn't the first time he has done something like this and has a history of it judge him accordingly if not let the courts handle it.

He won.
Get over it.
You'll have a chance to run Hillary against him in a few years. Hey, she's gotta run for everything if she expects to ever have a shot at winning anything!

You live in a world of fantasy.

Questions:
  1. Do you believe Gianforte was in the right when he physically attacked the reporter Certainly not.
  2. Do you believe the attack, should be upgraded from simple assault by the Prosecutor Don't know, Prosecutor can decide that
  3. Do you feel Gianforte is a proper role model Certainly not.
  4. Do you support a movement to invoke Art 1, sec 5 and clause 3 No.

Don't know the House rules about censuring somebody for acts done prior to entering Congress. The guy was wrong and will have to accept whatever the court in Montana says his punishment should be. Anger management classes might be in order for starters.

He wasn't a member of congress. It was up to the voters to act accordingly and they did.
