Republican lawyer. We must try and curtail college students from voting.

It was until 2020.

You should be working to make elections more secure from creating and fraud. When you make something easy, you make it easier to cheat.

There never was anything "hard" about going to the poll and pulling a lever.

In nearly 50 years of voting, I never once heard a single person complain it was too hard for them.

Lawsuit after lawsuit. Audit after audit. You have to prove something isn't secure before you can make it more secure.

A top Republican lawyer told donors at a Republican National Committee (RNC) retreat last weekend that conservatives should work to limit voting on college campuses.

What the left don't admit to is that they have been working for ages to limit the voting of conservatives. And they've been real good at it, which is what scares them that now the GOP is starting to copy them.

How did/does the left limit conservatives voting?

From reading the article, it looked like he's unhappy with the location of the polling places on campus, being right next to the dorms.
There might be a conversation there to be had. These are not crippled up old people who cant get around, there is no excuse for them NOT to vote...and they all have ID cards.
It's always better that people vote with intention and not just because its convenient. Usually a person who has to try just a little harder for something, has to put more thought into it.
Many college students do not have cars

Putting polling places far away from campus restricts the vote
Polling places should be where the people are
Common sense

It was already proven broken and flawed back in 2005 by the Carter-Baker Commission on Election Fraud which advised that the last thing elections want to do is go the route of mail in voting. But that would have actually FIXED our election system so the left quickly buried it.

If elections were secure, there never would have been a commission study done on fixing them much less recommending we never do what we are now DOING.

Obviously both sides have a direct interest in mitigating the vote from certain demographics. It's part of why politics is so ugly. Most of us wish millions of people would get lost on the way to the polls.

I support some of the things Republicans pretend to support. A balanced budget and addressing the deficit.

I support some of the things Republicans do support. I'm pro-life and I support the 2nd Amendment.

Things like this among other actions are why I can not vote Republican.

A top Republican lawyer told donors at a Republican National Committee (RNC) retreat last weekend that conservatives should work to limit voting on college campuses.

Cleta Mitchell, a GOP lawyer who assisted former President Trump in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, called on Saturday for Republicans to “combat” efforts to turnout college voters — a group that significantly tilts Democratic.

Voting should be one of our most sacred rights. We should be working to make voting easier for all, not harder for those some don't want voting.
The youth are green and want free stuff. They're daft enough to believe Democrats. As many mature, they wake up and vote Right wing. Happens in all countries.

Lefties are the gullible party.

I never understood the idiocy of……..we need to make voting as difficult as possible

Like I said, its worth having the conversation. The polling places could still be on campus, I think being next to the dorms seems to be some sort of issue. Is there more potential for fraud? maybe it would be better if the places were in a more monitored area of campus.

that wouldnt be making it as difficult as possible though. Put a sign up at the dorm, telling the students where on campus the polling place is.

And why not put it someplace convenient for the students?
Like where the students actually are?

I have 20 minutes till my next class……I think I will go vote

Democracy in action

Cause, you know, they would be more likely to vote, and it would probably not be for tehm.

There were no problems as far as security goes. There are states who have been mail in voting for years. You are just pissed you lost and have to blame it on something that a lousy candidate.

If they are not residents of that locale or state they shouldn't be voting there.

Where you live is determined by your address. So that mailbox where you receive packages at exam time may be enough to vote in the state or city where you go to college.

Each state has residency requirements for voting, so check with your state voting agency to find out what they are. If you've lived in the state long enough, then you're eligible to register where you go to school. If you've moved within a state or within a county, in some cases you can just call or go online to update your registration.

Alternatively, you can remain registered in the state where your parents or guardians live, if you still claim their address as your permanent residence. Just send in your absentee ballot early so that it gets to your home jurisdiction in time.

What you can't do is register to vote in multiple localities. That is voter fraud and could lead to criminal charges if you're caught.

It wasn't the youth that supported endless pumping by the Fed.

For a clue how worthless college students are as voters, here are a few being tested on their knowledge of the world.

Those things are bogus

Look how dumb College Students are!

It says more about those who believe this is an actual study.
