Sorry, I am not a proponent of increased minimum wage. That is an entry level wage for unskilled labor. Raising the minimum just to increase those wages is counterintuitive to promoting ambition and increasing the value of the employee to the company. I could even see a case for paying someone for the "value" they provide for the company. That would be a boon for many high performing employees while not rewarding under performing employees.
Well, the minimum wage is supposed to have been updated every year, and supposed to be a standard percetage of what CEO's make.
Politicians took massive bribes from BIG BUSINESS to stop that.
And since then, it's been stagnated.
If it had continued the way it was designed to work, minimum wage would be near $30.00 an hour now.
It was created to keep people from working themselves to death to just be able to pay rent and starve to death doing it.
But politicians decided to take the corporate bribes and put a stop to it.
Most jobs start around $10.00 an hour anyway nowadays, which is still NOT a livable wage of any kind.
