Republicans Just Lost the Alaska House Seat

I guess Sarah will run again in November.

Dear Republicans,
Keep pretending that Dobbs and Trump don’t matter to the electorate.

Dear Real World,

Sorry to bust your bubble again but you left out two important facts. Your own article if you had actually read it says that Peltola only topped Republican Sarah Palin after ballots were tallied and after votes for third-place GOP candidate Nick Begich III were redistributed to his supporters’ second choices.

Meaning that somehow that stupid devising weighting system was snuck in by democrats where you have to make multiple picks which tends to favor most people's SECOND choice.

Oh and this Fall, Sarah will still be on the ballot. :auiqs.jpg:

It might educate some politicians.

Remember, this is a temporary situation. There'll be another election in November and the same House seat will be on the ballot.

From this conservatives have to learn to refrain from putting multiple candidates on the "ranked choice" ballot. When two or three conservatives seen the same office and liberals can only muster one pitifully weak opponent it will always play out that the loser among them wins.

But given the outcome of today's indoctrination-in-lieu-of-education system I doubt there any capable of doing the math.

Stick a fork in America: We're done because we done it ousrselves. Your children will have a lower standard of living that your grandparents. Unless, of course, your grandparents or parents were illegals who fled from the very sort of regime they are replicating.

I think it was 36.6% to Sara's 30%.

The Anchorage Daily News reported (with a few votes still uncounted):

“Peltola had 39.7% of the first-choice votes to Palin’s 30.9%. In the instant runoff, Peltola ended up with 91,206 votes to Palin’s 85,987, or 51.47% to 48.53%.”

It was definitely an upset. There is no proof that Peltola will win again in November. But if she doesn’t make any mis-steps she has a good shot.

Despite — or perhaps because of — Trump’s backing for the unpopular Palin, and despite all the big Republican money in the state which supports Palin too, fed up independents, anti-Trump Republicans and women and men who support abortion (unlike Palin) may again make the difference.

It helps that Peltola is not a radical Democrat and is an experienced and appealing candidate. Alaska remains a “red” state, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

Why is it that trumps and palin both absolutely love to kill things?
Rome was addicted to killing and bloodlust right before it's fall as well.

Maybe democrats running AK will bring some sense back to AK politics

Palin kills to eat.

Is Trump a hunter too?

So, middle ground then. If the GOP legislators in the various states (it now being a state and not a federal issue) agree to such reasonable limits to abortions, do you think our Dem legislators might at long last embrace life and agree to end abortion on demand for mere convenience?
No, and mind your business.
