If you conservatives really want to avoid real socialism you might want to reconsider your unconditional support for the ultra-wealthy. If inequality continues to slide too far there will be a tipping point where our plutocratic western governments will not be able to keep a lid on things. Some very angry people will remember who collaborated with the billionaires and spit on the poor for having the gall to complain about the state of the world. If the middle class is shrinking and more people are becoming poor, the economy grows closer to not being able to sustain itself. The economy depends on consumer spending. It depends on MILLIONS of people spending money on the market. The richest 1% cannot support this economy. Sure they make extravagant purchases, but when it comes to daily/monthly spending, they spend just as much money as someone in the middle class would on the market. If less people are spending money, the risk of another economic crisis becomes more likely.

This isn't about jealousy you nitwit. This is a broad economic issue.
