This started when they launched mortar shells on our borders yesterday morning.

Nothing Israel does in Gaza is out of the blue. It is always due to previous provocation.

Every time mortars are fired from Gaza to Israel the Israelis officially state that they will not allow the Israeli population to suffer these without reprisals. Hamas obviously enjoys these reprisals, or they wouldn't keep up the attacks on Israel.

I think the Israelis show a lot of restraint. They know where the targets are but wait till Hamas fire on Israel before flying to take out various targets. What sort of army would be so restrained. The Israelis know where the targets are but don't wipe these targets out until they are fired upon first.

I really dislike the attitude Hamas displays and, frankly, they're bloody idiots.
The rocket attacks are doubly stupid because:
They are designed to attack civilians but rarely manage to do much more than blow up an empty field
They give Israel all the excuse it needs to murder civilians

Theiir feeble attempts, in my opinion, do exactly what you claim; they put civilians in danger because the Israeli government want terror in Gaza and the idiots in Hamas give them the excuse they need.

The solution here is simple (But probably too simple for the idiots in Hamas).
ALL attacks from Gaza must stop as of right now.
This takes away all excuse for Israel's evil behaviour and will eventually force the removal of the collective punishment wall.
