Pretty soon, up and coming generations of American students, devoid of connections to our history, will be ripe for learning revised versions of it. And Robert E. Lee was a true American Hero, and highly capable military strategist. Our future military leaders can as past ones have, learn much from his career on battlefields. Strike this man from history, and among other negative effects, lives of servicemen which depend on solid officers to lead them could be lost without the full battery of knowledge such historical figures have to offer.
