And btw, that Quinnipiac poll is from Nov 26, 2014 at a time when there is virtually no national polling (it's just about all party based polls at this point). So, really this whole thing defies your silly notion that HC is in ever such a dominant lead.

Here's the problem you have. You can probably retain a majority in congress because you've managed to gerrymander minorities into a few districts, but in a national election where everyone gets to vote, you will lose.

The reality is, White People are only 70% of the electorate now. So unless you get 65% of them to vote for your guy, you lose. It's really pretty simple math.

If you think about it, it should be obvious that Romney wouldn't beat Hillary in any polls since the GOP base isn't as coalesced around Romney as the Democrat base is around Hillary. I think the hard conservatives and maybe evangelicals have a big part in that.

Very good point. Sort of shows why any GOP contender is never really near Hillary's poll numbers (except for Romney who usually is never trailing immensely behind)
