Zimmerman's girlfriend, Samantha Schiebe and her mother, have been trying to sell a story for weeks. Hope Mason, Samantha's mother has been trying for three weeks to get a paid interview about Zimmerman with no takers. Suddenly there's this assault.

During the claimed "altercation" Schiebe had enough presence of mind to call a reporter to see if her story now had any value.

The records of his previous arrest were not sealed, they were released to the public as part of the discovery for the TM case.
