Sandra Bullock needs a gun...stalker in house for 15 minutes...she hides in closet..begging for help

The leading cause of teen death in the United States....cars......

See that is the problem with you anti-gun nuts......it isn't death that bothers you....because there are far more deaths caused by cars...in accidents...with teens taught to drive in high school and all the safety features built into cars....and still 30,000 people die in them each year....

gun accidental deaths....6-700 a year....with over 320 million guns in private hands, and over 11.1 million people carrying guns for self defense in public......

Car deaths have gone up since the Republican fiscal attack on education and eliminated drivers education from the curriculum.

If there is an accident the air bags and seat belts just might save them.

They don't save over 30,000 people a year....and that is cars that have those safety features...and guns are the thing you focus on....when cars are far more dangerous, injuring over 2,300,000 people in 2012 and killing over 30,000 people....

vs.

gun accidents (according to your numbers) 17,0000 ....accidental gun deaths...6-700

Cars require licenses, registration, insurance... What is required of guns?

And again comparing the number of people dead is completely foolish. Cars are used by almost everyone daily, guns are not needed by most people their entire life.

Cars require licenses, registration, insurance...

and they still don't prevent over 2,300,000 injuries in 2012 and over 30,000 deaths....

Guns...same thing...background checks do not stop 8-9,000 gun murders a year...because criminals don't do them....they break the law....

You can't be stupid enough to think there wouldn't be FAR more injuries and deaths with cars if we didn't have these laws.

Yeah....and 2,300,000 accidental injuries and over 30,000 dead are acceptable to you if a car does it....

but you become a gun grabber if 17,000 people have non fatal gun accidents and 6-700 accidental gun deaths....

you are the silly person driven by fear an paranoia...the numbers show that....

We have lots of laws regarding cars. And there is no doubt they limit the number of deaths substantially. Don't have much for guns however.

Cars caused over 2,300,000 injuries in 2012 and over 30,000 deaths.....

guns....17,000 injuries, and 6-700 deaths.....

get real......

Again guns disappear most people don't notice. Cars disappear and the country collapses. Not comparable.

1.6 million people who are raped, robbed, stabbed, beaten, tortured and murdered will kind of notice......if guns disappeared....

No the 1.6 million is a false number for many reasons. You can't possibly believe crime would go up by 1.6 million if guns disappeared. That number is from flawed surveys and the crime rate is 30% lower than when those were done. And well many surveys have much lower numbers than 1.6.

Brain.....just because you don't like the number you say it is flawed....even though it comes from actual research...over 40 years....from both public and private researchers many of them anti gun...

And if defensive gun use is on average 1.6 million times a year...then yes...making guns do away means that many people are now victims, not survivors.......that's how it works....

Well your 1.6 is flawed in Many ways. One you can't just average a bunch of studies. Several say 800k, making your 1.6 off by 100%. Your surveys are old from when crimes was much higher. Your surveys have been debunked several times over. Your number is just false any way you look at it.

The studies have never been debunked...you can't debunk a study just by saying the words..."I debunk you...." you actually need to show other studies that show the original studies are wrong...and considering there are at least 19, you would have a hard time doing that.....

And you said crime was much higher back then.......and it is lower now......as more Americans are buying and carrying guns.......

Oh fuck that......grow up.....car deaths are car deaths...teens are crazy behind the wheel and we let them drive at 16....

Yet you go on about how we should have gun education in schools. That is funny.

Because as you say...it will save some lives.....I'm not the one who says guns need to be banned.......and while you nuts point to driver education programs...you fight to keep gun safety programs out of schools.....and since we started fire safety education in schools, we haven't lost one child to a school fire.....

Do you have to take a shooting test and get a license to own a gun? How many guns are registered? Do they need safeties? No there isn't really very many restrictions.

The 1.6 million times crimes are stopped...they are stopped and don't get counted in the "Crimes completed" column...come on brain...you must be tired.....

I have to go watch Justified...as bad as it has been this year....

Well you seem to not care about driver education even though FAR more people are killed in cars as you say. Seems we need driver education a lot more than gun safety classes.

It took the police 15 minutes to get to her......so no, no lie involved......it is in the link.......and they were stuck at her front gate as the guy wandered the house....how long does it take to kill an actress.....?

Because they had the guy in custody. Think about it logically if you can. If you're a cop, and you know the homeowner is safe in a safe room, do you make an attempt to rescue the homeowner, or do you find the bad guy?

No your 1.6 is an imaginary number as has been proven. If the 800k survey happened to be right you are wrong by 100%. If the NCVS is correct you are off by 1600%.

Sorry....any of those things are a POLL TAX on a right......you can't have a poll tax to prevent the exercise of a right....but cars don't have that protection.....and in Illinois...you need 16 hours of training...4 law, 4 range and 8 more of other training..usually the NRA gun safety course.....

And I would fight to either have those be free of charge, or gotten rid of.....

They got the bad guy and searched the house to confirm there wasn't more than one before getting her.

So yes we have a lot more restrictions on driving a car than owning a gun. Thank you.

She was a lucky woman......now she will go and get a gun...or if she is a liberal...she will hire other people to carry the gun for her.......

You know....you guys want people to rely on luck, and the good will of home invaders to keep them safe........wow...what a strategy...you should write a book on that.....

How is using a safe room luck? Wouldn't it be pro-active?

Not if you are caught and can't get to it.......she saw him first.......

You want a layered defense...the alarms on the house, security cameras, a cell phone and a firearm......
