This board worries me sometimes with all the us vs them or team cheerleading that goes on. I'm going to post something I agree with Trump on and something I'm critical of with him on then do the same for FDR. I ask as many of you who can to do something similar even with other folks who are generally on opposite sides of the spectrum. Here we go.

In my opinion:

Trump is doing great with the tariffs as negotiating leverage AND by holding talks with North Korea. Trump gets more credit than he deserves for Obama's recovery and exposes hypocrisy in the moral majority with his personal life problems.

FDR saved this country from a Socialist Revolution by finding a modern way to stabilize the economy with government programs after the big government land in the west was done being given away. FDR dropped the ball with race relations allowing Jews to be turned away and with the Japanese internment.

I dont have much good to say about the duopoly or 90 percent of our presidents.
So im pretty much out of this exercise

I'm thrilled with a real bipartisan double negative! It shows honesty, free through and indicates you aren't a political party staffer paid to post when not counting donations lol

Oh well, if it's double negatives ya want we can fill this pool UP.

Just a note about your OP though -- Roosevelt's internment of Japanese was due to nationality and loyalties, not "race".

FDR almost killed this country with his Socialist programs. If it wasn't for WWII and 10s of thousands of men "DRAFTED" into the war the recovery never would of happened.

Rinos are the bane of all conservative voters.
Republican's were stupid to oppose civil unions.(Look what we got instead.)
Big government isn't impossible, but for a country this big, with the crap than runs for office, I'm not seeing any big government solutions that will be anything other than disastrous.
It would be nice if the Dems or their media was held accountable just once. One figgin time.

Bingo!
The country is too large for 'Mini-Maduro' socialism to work. It'll break down even before it leaves the gate.

1a Trump is doing fairly well with decreasing illegal immigration.

1b. Trump failed his primary promise by not moving on the wall most aggressively in the first fucking year.

2a FDR was right to see Nazi Germany as a major threat to the US.

2b. FDR was a moron to trust Stalin and make the Soviet Union an ally.
