This board worries me sometimes with all the us vs them or team cheerleading that goes on. I'm going to post something I agree with Trump on and something I'm critical of with him on then do the same for FDR. I ask as many of you who can to do something similar even with other folks who are generally on opposite sides of the spectrum. Here we go.

In my opinion:
Trump is doing great with the tariffs as negotiating leverage AND by holding talks with North Korea. Trump gets more credit than he deserves for Obama's recovery and exposes hypocrisy in the moral majority with his personal life problems.
FDR saved this country from a Socialist Revolution by finding a modern way to stabilize the economy with government programs after the big government land in the west was done being given away. FDR dropped the ball with race relations allowing Jews to be turned away and with the Japanese internment.

Both were humans, both had women issues (although what did it mean to be FDR's mistress in 1945?) one I'd vote for over the other but neither are me so I don't agree with them all the time. In fact come the next day or a year later I don't even always agree with myself.
