To me it's more USELESS demagoguery from a bunch of feckless Republicans...NOW if they were to OVERRIDE the Manchurian muslim's veto, then we are talking about something!

But since an Obama veto is guaranteed, what's the point? It’s a first in two ways: The House has passed ObamaCare repeals before, but this is the first one to pass both the House and the Senate and land on Obama’s desk. Oh, and the defunding of Planned Parenthood is in there too. It’s the first time the Senate has used reconciliation to bypass the filibuster and pass the ObamaCare repeal with more than 50 votes but fewer than 60. So sure, it’s more than has been done before. Then again, you’d expect more when you’ve finally got control of...

"Senate uses reconciliation to pass ObamaCare repeal, Planned Parenthood defunding"

Further confirmation that most republicans are only interested in partisan politics, not doing what's best for the American people, by contriving non-issues into wedge issues, and ignoring that which is truly important.

It's symbolic at this point.

The real test will be if a GOP win the White House and they retain the Senate and House will they pass the bill again knowing it will be signed?

History of the United States public debt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Public debt as a percentage of GDP fell rapidly in the post-World War II period, and reached a low in 1974 under PresidentRichard Nixon. Debt as a share of GDP has consistently increased since then, except during the terms of presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Public debt rose during the 1980s, as President Reagan cut tax rates and increased military spending. It fell during the 1990s, due to decreased military spending, increased taxes and the 1990s boom. Public debt rose sharply in the wake of the 2007–08 financial crisis and resulting significant tax revenue declines and spending increases.
