Shale Giants Swear They Won't Drill More, Even At $200 Barrel

US oil production doubled during the Obama presidency.

US oil production doubled in spite of Obama's energy policies. It was private industry who was responsible for technological advances, such as fracking and horizontal drilling. Not the government. And most of that was being done on privately-owned land. Even the the federal government’s Energy Information Administration acknowledged that.

That narcissistic sonofabitch tried to take credit for it too. But to paraphrase his own words, "He didn't build that. Someone else made that happen."

Fracking has been in common use by Aramco for more than than sixty years. Most US wells produce less than fifty barrels a day so they really can't afford fracking or gas injection.

What? The US government has nothing to do with oil production. Fracking has been used routinely for 60 years in the Middle East. Most US wells are too small to invest in fracking. Aramco has been horizontal drilling since I was in grade school.

Wrong again. Fracking has not been used for 60 years in the Middle East. It was invented here in the US, back in the 40's. Most Middle Eastern countries were opposed to it.

Oil production doubled because of Obamas energy policies. The world economy recovered from another Republican disaster because of Obama's energy policies. The recovery would have been double but for failed Republican policy, and purposeful Republican obstruction.

Anything a Republican touches fails. Energy policy, or anyother policy.

This thread is about the clear threat from the oil industry to keep oil and gas prices where they are, which has nothing to do with Bidens energy policy, and zero to do with inflation.

The price of gas rests solely with the oil companies, and only with the oil companies, and you can bet your ass, that we will be making damn sure that the American people know who is responsible for the gas prices.

Read the article, dipshit. Saudi Arabia partnered with Houston-based Halliburton in 2018 to obtain the technology to frack.
Haliburton has been in KSA since 1946. Do you know what oil services companies do?

Maybe they are tired of boom and bust cycles. Gasoline is still a bargain.https://www.in2013dollars.com/Gasoline-(all-types)/price-inflation/1960

Hardly 60 years. And they got nowhere near the output American frackers did.

"Aramco began using horizontal drilling in the Berri field in 1991, and Shaybah, developed in the mid-1990s, was the Kingdom’s first oil field to use horizontal and multilateral wells exclusively."
