South Carolina has one of the densest black populations in America. Notice how they found as many minorities as they could from the crowd for the PR photo. Not very many. There's one, maybe two black guys.

The GOP has a problem getting minorities to vote for them.

But as the OP and Iowa shows, the gop base has no problem voting for minorities.

The 1st black President ABANDONED / IGNORED African Americans, creating NO - ZERO - programs designed to help them out...perhaps because he was a Liberal before an African American?!
