It’s not hypocrisy, it’s hierarchy.

Trump was fined $354 million — more than $450 million with interest — for allegedly overvaluing his Mar a-Lago home to secure a loan, which he paid back on time. As if no loaner requires a professional appraisal.

Boeing agreed to plead guilty to a criminal fraud conspiracy charge. If a judge approves of the agreement, the Boeing company will somehow become a “convicted felon,” according to Reuters. Boeing will also pay a fine of $243.6 million.

For killing 346 people in two plane crashes.

Democrats know that the average voter is stupid. All they wanted was to say Trump was a felon.

But there is one more step to go, and that is the sentence. Will they try jail time?

People may not understand the legal system, but they understand what felon means and jail means, which will sway some to vote a certain way.

Those judgements and charges against Trump were pure bullshit lawfare. You can probably expect he'll be getting sued every other week during his next term in office.

Yes, and they will be overturned, AFTER the election

But by then, who cares? The DNC will have won their little election.

The case was much more than MAL, it was consistent overvaluation and fraudulent business practices involving:
  • Trump Tower Triplex
  • 40 Wall Street
  • Vornado Partnership
  • Trump Park Avenue
  • Seven Springs NY
  • Briarcliff NY
  • Mar-A-Lago
  • Trump National Golf Club LA
  • Aberdeen Scotland
  • Licensing Deals (internal deals listed as external cash)
  • Deutsche Bank
  • Doral
  • Trump Chicago
  • Old Post Office
  • Ladder Capital/Wells Fargo
  • Ferry Point
  • Zurich Insurance
  • D&O Insurance

That just recognizes criminal liability.

Boeing has already settled for $487.2 Million with the families and is required to invest $455 Million on improved safety.

245.6 + 487.2 + 455 = $1,187.8 Million or $1.187 Billion.

You seem to have left out some of the monetary damages in the Boeing case.

I just watched an episode of Law and Order, and the victim of a crime decided not to go forward with the case. The lawyer wanted to continue to case anyway and bring it to trial, by the DA told him they can’t bring a case when the victim won’t bring charges.

In the NY case with Lucretia “I’ll get Trump” James, there was never a vicitm in the first place. The so-called victim even testified on Trump’s behalf.

BTW - I told my bank my home is worth $700M, give me a loan.

For some strange reason they wanted to use a professional appraiser.

Revenue means little unless compared with expenses to determine profit/loss.

Never Trumper widely quoted "Conservative judge" Michael Luttig

"On May 10, 2006, Luttig resigned his federal judgeship to become general counsel and senior vice president for the American airplane manufacturer Boeing.[15][30][31] He replaced Douglas Bain.[32] In his resignation letter, Luttig wrote, "Boeing may well be the only company in America for which I would have ever considered leaving the court."[33] He also mentioned his two children's upcoming college education; the position at Boeing promised more pay than the federal judgeship. At the time of his resignation, federal appellate judges were paid US$175,100 annually.[34] According to Boeing's 2008 Annual Report, Luttig's total compensation for 2008 was $2,798,962.[35] In 2015, Luttig was named the 7th highest paid general counsel in the United States by Above the Law with a salary of $4,236,580 (~$5.32 million in 2023).[36]

Luttig resigned as general counsel to Boeing in May 2019. He was replaced by Brett Gerry.[37] Luttig's resignation coincided with the terminations of former CEO Dennis Muilenburg and former Commercial Aircraft Executive Kevin McCallister that year, during the Boeing 737 MAX groundings crisis.[38] In January 2021, he was hired by Coca-Cola Company to be counselor and senior advisor for tax matters.[39]"

I can't wait for Trump's DOJ to apply that same logic to all his political enemies, right?

The notion that Trump has never broken a law is as fanciful as thinking you never have broken a law as well.

But the difference is, no one is looking into what laws you have broken because you have not make anyone care.

IF Trump had never run for President, none of this would be happening and you damn well know it

That is the point.

Unfortunately, the government churns out about 40,000 new laws and regulations every year, making it harder and harder to comply.

They essentially throw out a net to nab anyone and everyone, that is, if they want them off the streets. You just have to provide them a reason to care and want to do it.

People may not understand the legal system, but they understand what felon means and jail means, which will sway some to vote a certain way.

That would have worked better 20 years ago, but many people are so distrustful of the Media that they aren't really buying the "Trump is a Felon" mantra. In fact it's just re-enforcing the idea that the system is corrupt and out to get him.

The movie Forest Gump made no profit.

It’s called creative accounting, everyone does it.

Reported profit by Boeing: $4.2B

So they got fined 1Q of profit.

Could you show the reported "profit" by boing after I showed the losses for the last 5 years. Remember "revenue" =/= "profit".
