Six Wisconsin recall elections tonight

Thanks, del.

In fact, the GOP should have easily won all six, but did not.

"Smartest thing Walker and the State legislature could do for that state is cut the budget and services back and eliminate the state income tax. Investment and industry that had been FLEEING the state since the paper and auto industries tanked (destroying much of NE Wisconsin's stability and the Milwaukee area plus southern lakeshore) would start returning. "

And dont forget bigger tax breaks for corporations. Plus, a law that states a factory can pay no more than $2.50 per hour. Thats what we want, lots and lots of low paying factory jobs. I'd would much rather collect unemployment than work in some factory. Of course I'm 74 years old. I do paint now for $45 per hour and have alot of work.

sure thing, *gramps*

One, the GOP still hold the senate.
Yes, that is what happened...

Two, two of six "safe" seats fell.
You don't know WI politics... Those seats that fell were close contests in the last election and were not considered "safe" at all... Look it up...

Three, Americans, and Wisconsinites, in particular, are sick of and pissed at the Tea Party.
The Tea Party wasn't running on Tuesday... The election was for recalls and the republicans (your Republicans, right?...) won 4 out of the 6 seats, retaining the control of the senate...

Your statement above is just your foolish opinion... Nothing more...

Four, if anybody thinks either party is in the driver seat, that person is a fool.
For now, Walker can continue to provide the cost savings measures he was elected to provide, knowing that the Republican controlled Senate will be behind him...

Don't know if I'd classify that as a "driver's seat", but it sounds like it's already working in some districts and I wish Wisconsin well as it strives toi save money....

House, go look up the districts in play. Those two seats were not "hotly" contested at all last time around.

House, the Tea Party played its part, and now it is beginning to piss folks off even more.

Walker will slow down now to some extent, because three moderate GOP senators are getting offered all sorts of goodies for milding on Walker's program.

My opinions are sound on this. You are just pissed that populist Wisconsin took away two "safe" GOP seats.

Darn straight the GOP will slow down a bit there.

If you are right, the Dems next week will lose one or both seats. Let's see, huh?

NeoFascist made that call. He can provide the info. He can't, that's why he did not do it.

I did... For example, Dan Kapanke won in 2008 by a 45,454 to 42,647 margin... That is NOT what you call a "safe" district... You can pretend it is, but you'd just look rather silly...

Opinion sans fact...

More opinion sans facts... Your prediction track record is pretty piss poor too...lol

The facts betray your opinions, FakeJake...

We'll have to wait and see...

safe, why yes of course:eek: hopper only won his seat by 163 votes last time out and he apparently had severe personal issues since then his wife filed for a divorce as he was diddling his young intern or something ...buy a clue, please.

that leaves one. and since the unions and outside money spent close to 35 million bucks that comes to how much per seat? and, since the unions won't be collecting their dues via the gov, but having to demand if from their members, good luck blowing out the wallet in 2012. :clap2:yes congrats

Thanks... I was about to lookup Hopper next....

JakeTheFake is floundering badly...

House does not understand that NeoFascist made a factual claim but did not back it up.

The safe GOP seat should have won handily. They did not.

Data has already been provided... You ignore it...

You said they were both safe seats... Now you are backpeddling and claiming only one was...???

In what world is a 51.5% to 48.5% margin of victory considered "safe"?

Jokey, go find another thread to be wrong in... you've maxed out in this one...

I know, just making some fun conversation. I am actually thinking of moving to minnesota as the schools in wisconsin are headed for decline in quality after all of this. I should not expect nor do I reserve any right to expect high quality education. When people take cuts we cannot expect them to produce at the same level. I know I would for sure work less hard. Anyway, minnesota schools are going to be much better than wisconsin schools so we are now looking at selling our house. You are right but dont look to Wisconsin for jobs, at least high paying ones. Low paying jobs are on the horizon here. Best staying away for a long time. Not a good state to be in now or the future as far as pay goes.
As a former school bus driver, I can guarantee you, the MN schools are a fucking mess. The private schools aren't much better. Combine that with the imminent financial collapse of this state because nobody, not the legislature and ESPECIALLY not the governor are talking REAL cuts. We're in flyover country and nobody pays attention to the financial disaster that is this state.

But at least we get losers from Illinois sucking off our welfare dollars which are some of the best n the midwest. You think MN is a great place to live? Maybe far far away from the Twin Cities... but it won't be for much longer. Specially if you're a parasite.

We'd be happy to have you, Sir.
Crap. Lemme guess. Keith Ellison's district?

Oh and american is a place to live. Aint so great.
So move to the country with the political system of your choice. I hear Venezuela is good this time of year... in the mountains... if you can afford power.

If this were true then more than the 2 weakest Republican seats would have been lost...

When are you going to stick up for the right?

Ha, the progressives failed again.

Also, I love their blatant disregard for democracy.

"Wait our guy didn't win and our voter fraud failed"

"No fair we want a redo so we can try again."

It's going to be funny watching these tyrant socialists attempt to recall Walker and fail at it then tie up the Wisconsin courts with all kinds of batshit legal maneuvers spending Wisconsin tax dollars in the process until they find a judge sympathetic to their socialism in which will allow them their bullshit game to go on in which the progressive socialist movement will get smacked down again by the Wisconsin voters.

Oh and don't forget there are a few democrats being recalled as well...

With the amount of corporate money, the GOP should have won all six senate recall seats, yet they lost two they easily should have won.

Gloomy tidings for the GOP next year if it does not shed the Tea Party.

The more Romney slides to the sleazy social values and Tea Party right, the better Pawlenty and Giulani look to mainstream Republicans.
they kept the majority.
